The Device
No — the PanicTap device is included free with every subscription plan. There is no upfront hardware cost. Your device ships as soon as your subscription is activated.
PanicTap has an industry-leading 2-week battery life on standby. Most users charge it on weekends.
PanicTap is designed to be carried in multiple ways — it attaches to a keychain, clips to a bag strap, or can be worn on a lanyard. It's compact and discreet enough that most people won't notice it.
PanicTap is rated IPX4, which means it's splash-resistant and can handle rain, sweat, and accidental spills. It is not designed for submersion.

Subscription & Pricing
We offer three individual plans: Month-to-Month at $44.95/month, a 1-Year Contract at $39.95/month (our most popular), and a 2-Year Contract at $34.95/month. All plans include a free PanicTap device. Business volume pricing starts at $39.95/device/month — see our For Business page for full details.
Month-to-month subscribers can cancel at any time with no penalty. 1-year and 2-year contract subscribers are committed for the duration of their contract term. Please review the full cancellation policy in our Terms & Conditions.
Billing is monthly on the anniversary of your signup date. Your first charge occurs at the time of subscription. All payments are processed securely through Shopify.
We don't currently offer a free trial, but month-to-month subscribers can cancel at any time. This gives you the flexibility to try PanicTap risk-free without a long-term commitment.
How It Works
No phone needed — PanicTap operates completely independently. The device has its own built-in GPS and LTE connection, so it can send your location and trigger an alert on its own. Leave your phone in your car, your locker, or at home — PanicTap works either way.
When you tap, PanicTap sends an SMS and push notification to all of your registered emergency contacts simultaneously. The message includes your real-time GPS coordinates.
Yes — when you tap, PanicTap calls 911 directly. The dispatcher will receive your GPS location automatically, and can hear anything said within 10 feet of the device. No need to speak, unlock your phone, or do anything else. This is included with all subscription plans.
Not likely — PanicTap uses a long-hold activation method that makes accidental triggering very difficult. If you do activate it by mistake, simply speak into the device and let the 911 dispatcher know it was an accidental activation. They handle this routinely and will confirm with you before closing the call.
You can register unlimited emergency contacts in PanicTap. All contacts are notified simultaneously when you activate the device.
For Businesses
Yes. Business accounts come with a centralized dashboard where you can add or remove devices, manage billing, and monitor your team's subscription status — all under one account.
Pricing is tiered based on total active devices: 1–9 devices at $39.95/mo each, 10–99 at $34.95/mo, 100–499 at $29.95/mo, and 500+ at $24.95/mo. Your rate is automatically applied based on your current device count. See the full breakdown on our For Business page.
Yes. Business accounts receive monthly itemized invoices automatically. Contact our team if you need custom invoicing arrangements or purchase order support.
Account & Billing
Payment methods can be updated through your Shopify account portal. Log in at the link in your confirmation email or contact our support team for help.
We offer a 30-day return window on the device if you cancel your subscription within that period. The device must be returned in its original condition. Please visit our Contact page to initiate a return.
